I really like the SRI's and have not had any issues except one. Which was the rubber gaskets come super lubed up and they have to be clamped to the metal MAF house which is polished up real good. It's like trying to get a wet rubber band on a bar of soap. I had to rough up the connection to get the parts to grip each other.

I also bought z1 silicone tubes to replace the stock intake tubes to kind of complete an entire intake so to speak.

My pipes stay so clean because this car is not my daily driver yet. (still running the brakes of a 2007 Ford Fusion). So it sits unless my other car breaks down or it is really nice outside. I also polish all my chrome\metal with Never Dull almost every time I wash the car.

You're car is looking really nice and clean bsettles! That addition of the front lip on our cars really do make the biggest difference. Goodluck with everything else and I hope you find a solution for it all.

Thank you for the info regarding the rubber gaskets. I really like the addition of the z1 tubes too. I bet it sounds mean. Looking forward to more pics of your car!

G/L w/ your resonated Y pipe plan.
Rasp is mostly all gone and only rears it's head on WOT.

Had two 2.5" diameter 6" long race mufflers welded into my Megan y-pipe. Nocturnal Motorworks did the work, great guys.

Car sounds good now, such a relief, I was beginning to think I was going to have to live with it or remove the cats. I bet if I welded two more into the other straights on the pipe it would be completely gone.

Can't get clip right now, will be murdered by neighbors and wife.

So I hit a deer around thanksgiving. Not totalled but quite a bit of work had to be done. When I went to pick it up from the body shop I looked under the car to see they had ripped my exhaust off.

Luckily they agreed to take care of me and buy me some Berk HFC's and an entire Stillen Cat Back to replace what they had damaged.

Will post pics of the new front end and exhaust when I get it back in the next few days. Been absent a while but figured I would update this post.

Bummer about the damage but nice that you'll be getting a new catback & HFCs, hopefully the repair will get you back to happy again. Keep us posted.

Kills me to see this but look at the positive side... you're getting free mods!

Friggin bambi... Brainless creatures.
Why was your exhaust ripped off? That sounds really bad and totally uncalled for.

Yea the free mods are really the only thing making me happy right now about the whole situation. They did however match paint pretty well.

As far as the exhaust goes what I think happened is that they carelessly backed the car out of the garage onto a steep incline and my exhaust caught the concrete and then got pushed forward.

The damage to the exhaust was very obviously done in reverse and they have a bay door that heads onto what looks to be a 12-15% grade down to the parking lot.

The lower level worker guy tried to tell me my car was too low, I don't know if he was trying to put the blame on me but I wasn't having any of it. However the manager stepped in before I even got a word out and told me he would replace what I had.

Since I pieced my exhaust together overtime it was just cheaper to buy me an entire system that it was to buy each piece seperatley.

The Berks were on back order though. So I am getting FI Cats with the Stillen Cat Back.

I had rasp to so if the new setup gets rid of that I will be pretty happy.

Hitting the deer was actually pretty crazy though. Never hit one in a car this low before, usually always in a truck. My car scooped the thing up and launched it in the air, deer was airborne for what felt like forever. Still lived too, with a few broken legs though.

Here is a picture before they pulled the car out and I discovered the damage.

I think they did pretty well with the paint. However the fitment of the lip has some tiny gaps around the fogs. From a distance though it looks pretty good.

They did not order the right grille either. Supposed to be midnight black and got a standard one.

So evidently Nocturnal Motorworks got my parts in, and there are fitment issues with the HFC and Exhaust combo. From what they are telling me it hangs quite low under the cabin.

Anybody have an issue like this?

I will post pics when he gets them to my email.

Went and seen the car tonight. All looks pretty good, however the fitment on my Invidia's hfc is going to have to be modified.

The part itself looks really solid though and the finish is like I mirror. Just seems like an angle was off on the welds.
