Talking New to the G Scene!

Just wanted to introduce myself! Name's Edgar and I recently purchased a 2010 G37x. After going back and forth I decided on the AWD platform because of the terrible Chicago/Northwest Indiana winters we have been experiencing. Although I wanted the sports platform, it would just not be practical. I'm coming from a 2002 Nissan Sentra Se-r Spec V. So far I've been pleased with this car except that in the first month and a half I've already needed to replace the MAP sensor and the valve cover gaskets. Both done for free by the dealership. Hoping I don't run in to any issues anytime soon! Can't wait to see how the car responds to some mods.

Hey Edgar, welcome to the site, hopefully your issues are behind you and it'll be trouble free down the road
What mods are you thinking about?

More than likely i'll be getting a grounding kit soon (if not make my own). I heard it helps tremendously with the automatic transmissions. Then an intake. Still going back and forth in my head wether I want to go with a CAI or Short Ram. All my cars have always had cai's, I just don't like the placement of it on this one. Debating on whether to go with the Sports front bumper or the IPL one to give the car a slight facelift. Next some wheels, exhaust, header. Lastly a suspension! I've been in this forum for a little over a month, quietly taking in all the knowledge I can lol

Welcome, Nice X! These cars are pretty reliable. I had a 35 with 89k Trouble free miles. Do your part and they will do theirs.

Just a word from experience and I'm sure you already know this, don't do any mods that will have the techs question your warranty. You've got 2 years left (not sure how many miles) - but the really fun stuff can wait! I've got a 2010 with 50k on it. Same boat you are in.

^^ just seen your comment (super late I know) but yes I know what you mean! I got the extended warranty when I purchased it. I'm going to get ready to do all the flushes and fluid changes this summer

Update on my car: getting ready to purchase an intake, just going back and forth on takeda or stillen(cutting in to my core support does not seem appealing!) FINALLY pulled the trigger on some OEM floor mats in from Berman's Infiniti Merrillville, IN. I was waiting for winter to be over! The difference is insane!!! (and yes i plan on cleaning the carpet in the back, stupid salt stain :-/)[IMG][/IMG]
