I never considered my G a "luxury car". Not for a moment.

To each their own. I agree that making changes isn't for everyone, and new members should not expect to get a "OEM Like" ride or smoothness thereafter. There is a reason that Infiniti set the cars up the way they did... ride quality, cabin noise, NVH etc. are all very important to a "Luxury" auto brand.
Ride and aesthetics are very subjective and I caution everyone not to just do what other people like. On the flip side, many of us are chasing the same unicorn... power, handling, and that little bit of sports car harshness that we remember from cars past, or always wanted to have in our youth.
Luckily almost everything can be reversed, and you are very likely to find someone on this forum that will gladly take your lightly used parts off your hands!
Happy Modding

I had installed K&N filters in the stock air boxes on my 2010 G37 sedan and shortly after got the service light. Turns out that the oils in the filters will mess with MAP sensors. I sprayed a non-solvent cleaner through them and problem went away. Later I decided to change the stock intakes out for K&N Typhoon cold air. Sounds better and seems to add slight gains. Never seen the light again so it must be doing well.

What if I wanted to do the following mods: wiseco piston combo, stillen spc, stillen grounding kit, stillen max energy, stillen pulley, aam competition true exhaust, z1 high flow cats, lowering springs and adding some sway bars, a torque converter and valve body, racing battery and some light weight reduction, a flash tune. Lastly orbis wheel tire kit. Is this an over kill lol? I know by adding a piston combo, it opens up to more hp and torque. The max that a stock engine could hold on a g37 is 600hp.

Spent a few minutes falling down the memory hole with this thread, and that was pretty cool.
You know what's missing from the top post? Short gears in the rear differential. It's not an increase in HP exactly, but it sure is a HP modification, shifting power down low. Love my 4.083 rear gear ratio!

Wow, you just created 10 new comments in one day so that you could make a FS thread!
And while that's undeniably true, so is your comment. There is fantastic info here, and probably the one post that has the most likes throughout the entire forum.
