Does intake make any difference on 2013 g37 xsedan ... I just got a muffler delete on my g

 

The intakes won't add much hp wise but sound pretty bad as$ at WOT over 3500rpm and look nicer in the engine bay, especially the ones w/ the longer polished tubes. Not much you can do to the VQs to boost output without putting serious coin into turbo or supercharger kits. The High flow cats are a better mod for sheer gains, again it's not much but a bit more than intakes.

 

is it enough to feel any difference? I always wanted to put the typhoon intake in my G but didn't want to waste money if it didn't give any power at all?

 

There's not much you can do to this engine short of forced induction that will net you double digit HP boost in one fell swoop. intakes, depending on which ones you get, can add anywhere between 3-8hp, depending on a LOT of factors, including which tune you get, if any, temperature, location, and altitude.

 

i just got the typhoons in my 09 x coupe...for what it's worth they sound AMAZING power gains were felt a few days later after the ecu they were min but still felt..

 

power felt from low end or at the high end of the band?

 

Not much HP but +1 for SOUND!! You can't go wrong with R2C or stillen Gen 3!! All depends how you drive your car. I personally chose R2C bc its a mid range CAI felt/heard at 3500-4000 rpm. Stillen Gen 3 is more of a high range band 6000-7000 range. I dont know about you but I spend more time in the mid range band as opposed to higher range for a DD that is. Tracking is a different story.

 

I felt a slight difference when i put my Status Elite intakes on mine, it seems to have gone away though. Or im just used to it now. Either way they sound awesome at wide open throttle, ecspecially when in a tunnel or in the fast lane next to a jersey barrier.
