Hello everyone,

So I recently just bought a 2009 g37s black on black automatic. I am very very excited and hope to learn a lot of useful information from you guys and contribute in a positive manner. I will have a lot of questions so I hope that the search function and forum members will be kind to help.

If anyone has time, before I start doing a bunch of searching..are there any specific problems I should know about the year of my car? Thank you in advance.

Would you guys recommend extended warranty? If so, through who? And how much would I be looking to pay?

I bought mine with 36k miles and the warranty is about to expire in either 6 months or 12k miles.

 

Welcome to the site, I wouldn't get any aftermarket warranties, only one offered by Infiniti, even then I'd probably just roll the dice These are very good cars reliability wise IME, I'm on my 2nd one and never had any issues.
Just check w/ the dealer to see if the 7AT TSB has been applied, it will smooth out the shifting and hesitation w/ the stock transmission programming.
Nice color BTW, check out the sedan media share section for plenty of ideas.

Thank you for the advice! I stopped by an infiniti dealership today and they saidmy car hasn't been to an infiniti dealership since it was bought. So I have to get the 30k check up done and ask about the tsb. Also the guy said they can't sell me an elite warranty until i get the 30k maintenance. Don't know how true that is

Congrats! Imjust bought a 2010 G37x black on black with 34k miles. Awesome car. Had to rep,ace all the tires as the noise coming from the front tires were driving me crazy. Looking to add sport side skirts but dealer quoted me $600 for the two not including install. Any advice on where to get sport side skirts or if any aftermarket dealers sell the sport. I dont li,e the IPL.

Talked to Infiniti today and they putting a complete new engine in my car. Warranty ran out Yesterday and I have 2500 miles left til 60k. When that takes a load off
