2013 IPL w/ stillen supercharger
2013 IPL w/ stillen supercharger
This is my first time joining a forum, so bear with me. I am writing because of how frustrated I am at Stillen for selling, convincing, and not completing any of the things they said they would. Let me explain, I purchased a 2013 IPL conv. To take to the supercar invitational in SLC, UT and wanted to supercharge it so I decided on Stillen. At this point my IPL has been out of service since April. Any thoughts???
Damn, sorry to hear of this. Might want to post this here. Oh, & Welcome to the site!

Yeah, join the GTM fan boy club here and go with GTM. They never have any problems...
Truth is, it doesn't matter which kit you use to go forced induction, 99% of if the thing will work or not is on the tuner.

I would have to disagree. Not because I'm a "fan boy," but GTM has a far greater success rate and produced better numbers with their kit than Stillen. Is it because most of the Stillen guys went to the wrong tuners? Could be. I'm sure you can get the supercharger to work somehow, but Stillen isn't really known for having quality parts; for example, their exhausts that rust extremely easily.
Sure GTM has problems, but at least you wont get the cold shoulder from them when there is a problem.

hipposcottomus, we're a little confused, as we've been in constant communication with you and your dealer, including you and our VP speaking this morning. I know that our customer service manager, our head tuner and our Vice President have all been working with you and the dealer since May 7th when the kit was originally installed.
Hopefully the data you and our VP discussed this morning will shed some light on whether this is a tuning or installation issue. When our VP called this afternoon to follow up to see if you had gotten the info, your message says you'll be out of town for a couple of days. We're waiting to hear from you or the dealer.

No FI for me.... considered it but decided to stay NA. Just sharing my thoughts from what I researched. I guess only the people that have had both are entitled to an opinion?
Well keep doing your research. But you will have to venture outside the forums a little. Talk to some of the heavy hitters on here and you will learn a lot more. I mean "talk to" as they will open their dialog up a lot more and tell you stuff they will not post.
Ill keep that in mind if I decide to go FI down the road
