Best Mod

What is the best single mod that gives the most hp gain..? (Tune not included)
Also excluding Turbo and Supercharger
Pretty hard to get significant power out of our cars so was wondering what the top 1 would be.

The G has plenty of power out of the box. Exploiting that power is your best bet. A great set of performance tires will help put that power down. A set of sways will do wonders for handling.

Both of these will give you the most for real world "gains". While this may not seem like the sexiest way to start modding, it will give you the best performance improvement. Intakes, exhaust and so on will not increase your speed potential like the ones I mention.

An NA car, like ours, with tire and suspension upgrades will blow away the same car with nothing more than intakes. Straight line, in the curves, and everything in between. FI cars play by different rules...

^ I assume the OP is still covered under power train warranty so nitrous is out if he cares about keeping the warranty.

The best bang for your buck mod IMO is gears. Changing the rear end to a 4.083 ratio. I had this in my 350Z and it was by far the best and noticeable mod I had done. And I had a lots of mods; intake, HFC's, exhaust, tires, suspension, etc. etc. No you aren't going to get anymore "power" out of the car but the power is put down to the ground better. If that makes any sense. The only downsides I came across with gears was my gas mileage did go down, but not much. Almost 1k higher RPM while cruising and I broke a rear drive axle because of the much lower gear ratio + 285 sticky tires lol. But still was the best mod IMO.

Engine swap. LS1, RB26DETT or 2JZ.

Theres not enough power to break the tires loose that much on these cars stock so i think you're fine there.

I think these cars handle quite well stock, but hey I'm coming from a 06 GTO so what do i know.

I did the stillen Gen 3's first and man did that wake my motor up. Made a more noticeable difference that my motordyne ART pipes, and cheaper.

I'd go that route, sounds great and could definitely feel the gains.

Go with what works for you... I did...I started at suspension, then exhaust, then Air intake. Now focusing on Sway bars and a different set of wheels than my Stance... I want a 10.5 all around vs Stagger..

Your Bill fold too... each mod is pricey! But in the End its all worth the time and effort..

Just my. 02¢
