New Coupe Owner

Hello all!
Just picked up my brand new 2010 G37x, only option was mud guards.

I got it for a daily driver i have a civic that i play with and wrench on, and i needed a dependable daily driver. I previously had an sc300 which was terrible in the harsh Ohio winters. After having my boss get me 3 times last winter with his 4wd truck, i realized its time for a change.

I did read that you can lower the car a tad and not void the warranty. but do you have to have the dealer install or just a qualified mechanic?

How long do Eibachs typically last? I had springs for the civic that broke in half and they were Tein.

I was also looking at spacers since they are cheap and i live next to summit racing. it seems like 20mm are the way to go.

but beyond those two things i plan to keep my hands off the car.

Congrats man. Not sure about the awd and spacers. But 20mm works for the regular coupe.

Welcome to the forum and congrats. You should expect coilovers to last longer than your car. It doesn't matter where you have them installed, you can DIY if you're able.

I'm in the Cleveland area, looking to purchase within the next year or so.

Which dealer did you go to? And if you don't mind sharing, how much?

I went to Infinity of Bedford and delt with Ed. It is a 2010 and had 40 miles on it, there is an incentive program to get rid of them (2010 still on the lot when the 2012's are coming out soon) so that 7k off the sticker then i was able to talk them down some more right around $31,000. its a great car and i love it, i was suprised at how nice the exhaust note is for being stock. only complaint is the 7at when using it like a manual, is terrible at shifting but i suspect some grounding wires will help. Basicly you shift.....then it shifts a full 1 second later

Where there any other 2010s left? I'd probably want Nav though. Any financing deals?

really nav? thats something i could never justify paying X grand for when my phone does it better.

but thats brings me to the other thing....if you want to go my route you have to be willing to compromise. I got the last 2010 infinity of bedford had. i wanted the dark gray but all they had was silver but for 7k off list to begin with i was willing to overlook.

either you get a deal, or you get exactly what you want.

Mine is a Base model with only a mudguard option, there might have been a few other items i would have liked to have, but i refuse to pay 3K for a premium package that includes 1 thing i want and 20 things i dont. (thats one of my biggest pet peeves right there)

As far as financing they weren't offering anything on that end just a huge chunk off sticker.

i think there is one other dealer in Cleveland and then one out in Pittsburgh if your willing to make the drive, it might be worth it if you can find one
