Door ding insurance?

The dealership is offering Easycare Dent Repair for $355 for 5 yrs of coverage. What is everyones opinion? Seems like a good deal to me but would love to hear if anyone has had personal experience with this. Thanks!

It's a good deal but sounds like a waste of money unless you plan on parking near carts at the super market or anywhere near the entrance of a walmart...

FYI--Some dents require drilling into the car (check your door jambs) to pop them out. Just don't park next to any sketchy rides.

I take the kid to daycare 3-4 times a week and my previous car was the victim of many a 3yr old or the parent in a rush. Otherwise I park far away as possible...

I believe a typical cost for paintless dent repair is about $60. If you plan on getting a little more than 1 door ding a year that you will repair than it's worthwhile.

I wouldn't do it, I think door ding is about 80/panel. Of course, it does depend on where you park, but I'll take my chances. Door dings are relatively easy to repair anyway.

In my opinion, its not worth it.

Dings will happen and when they do it might require some paint work.

My cousin does dent repair and in some locations the tool used to rub out the dent cannot get to it and require more extensive body work and cost.

Unless the insurance covers the above mentioned I would opt out of it.

Just learn to live in an imperfect world. It does wonders for your stress level.

Its my understanding that your Comprehensive insurance should cover door dings; check with your auto insurance agent to be sure and keep your deductible in mind.
