Newb. How to make a G37 Fast?
Hello all, I come over from the Mustang Cobra crowd. So I am used to 500-600 RWHP cars. With that being said I am not looking for that kind of power with the G37 if I decide to buy. But, What will it take for one of these things to stand out? It sounds to me they dont respond to the usual mods as well as other cars (CAI, CBE, HFC, etc).
Soooo my question is what are guys doing to grab some good power out of these 3.7's? What can they handle boost wise? I was thinking a nice Vortech V1SQ kit would be nice with some fuel upgrades? What do you think? I would like to see one of these G's putting down 400 rwhp on the stock block safely! Possible?
Great site. Thanks.

There's both superchargers and turbochargers available for the G37, check in the forced induction forum to read some details.

Stick with the mustang lol. Get a twin turbo kit on the G it'll be fast and it can corner unlike those heavy American cars.

From what I've seen, the G is heavier - numbers from Edmunds:
2009 Mustang V8 - 3,356 lbs
2009 Infiniti Coupe - 3,642 lbs
2011 Mustang V8 - 3,603 lbs
2011 Infiniti Coupe - 3,636 lbs

Look into the Stillen SC kit. I'm pretty sure it uses a vortech blower and with moderate boost puts down right around 400whp.
