Ordered and anxiously waiting....

Put down the deposit to order a 6MT Sedan from my local dealer and I'm told I'll see it around December time... I can't wait!

Hopefully the incentives are still good and I can snag a good deal on it at that time... getting way ahead of myself here but already thinking Clearbra, tint and grille painting!

Dealer gave me an estimate of about 45-90 days, said early December would be a safe bet though. I'd be more than happy to take delivery earlier

Sadly no, I opted for a 2009 model because I wanted to save some cash and to get in on the new vehicle tax rebate, even if its not much.

The dealer did give me the option to order a 2010 though. He mentioned that it wouldn't be placed until November and the very earliest he could get them in would be sometime in January. Of course I tried to mine whatever details I could from him on how the car would be changing, but he just gave me the standard 'I have no idea' response.

You haven't already locked in a price, or are you just hoping to add to an already good deal?
I know when I dropped my deposit, the price was agreed upon and set in stone. I just had to wait close to three months for it to arrive.

It's a really tough wait too. I know what you're going through...
It's all worth it when it finaly arrives though. Congrats!

No price locked in, I thought I would have when I went in to order but he basically said they just needed a deposit put down so they can go ahead and order the car in someone's name. I was told that the numbers talk will happen after the car arrives, and supposedly if things aren't going in my favor I can walk and have my deposit returned.

We'll see when it actually gets here I guess. I'll just be trolling around the MyG37 and G35Driver forums in the mean time.

Still wondering if I should have opted for Nav...

I just ordered a 2009 as well. I negotiated based on invoice price plus all available incentives when I take delivery.

Congrats on the car! Allow me to add some input. Sounds to me you should of negotiated price before the deposit was made. If we order a car, which is very rare, it will take anywhere was 45-90 days. In most cases, we perform dealer trades which is much fast (no longer than 2 weeks). We also negotiate price before the deposit is made. Without negotiating price before the deposit, it gives the dealer the upper hand in the process. If I were you, I would contact the dealer asap and come to a price. They should honor whatever deals were being offered when you placed your order. What all did you get on the car? I can help give you a great ballpark number.

Indy I have a side question for you (don't mean to hijack thread!)

I'm taking delivery tomorrow on a 2009 37x coupe with prem, navi, spoiler and net/mat and I've negotiated the following incentives:

$3000 cash
$500 cash
$1500 sell-me-down cash (they want to give me $750 of the sell me down instead of $1500 but I'm trying to get the $1500)

They're also throwing in six oil changes as part of the deal.

The original negotiated price was $42,450 before any rebates. So I'm basically going out the door with $750 of the sell-me-down at $38,200 plus tax and tags. If I continue to hold firm on the $1500 I'd be out the door at $37450. Should I hold out for a lower price? I realize the $42450 was a bit high now but I'm wondering how much more I should ask for in the last minute.

Thanks!
