New G37s Coupe 6MT

Hello, I've been browsing the forums for a little while now and have just purchased a G. It is a PG MT coupe, fully loaded minus active steering.

I'm now waiting for a rear spoiler and chrome stockies to come into the dealership.

Pictures will be posted after their installment.

I don't really plan on doing anything drastic to the car for a while. The things I'm contemplating are implementing superbrightleds, dropping the car, and installing a lip.

Yes, I placed an order with the car for the stock 19" wheels to be chrome dipped. They have yet to come in. I'm also waiting on my clear bra to come in (front bumper, hood, fender, headlight, side mirrors, and rear bumper).

I've had the car for about 4 days now and love it. What are the ways of breaking it in? I've tried to keep it under 2k rpm for the most part. I heard this takes about 1000-1200 miles. Is that right?

Are you doing the clear bra install yourself?

And keeping it under 2000rpm will be almost impossible. I am not sure where you heard that but it doesnt sound right.

Welcome.

4,000 rpm for 1200 miles. More details in the Owners Manual in your glovebox.

I think my girlfriend's brother and I are going to install some of the clear bra pieces ourselves and leave the front bumper to the professionals ^_^

Ah, under 4k. That's better. Thank you for the heads up.

Oh yes, also scored free Llumar window tints from the dealership.

If you haven't done ClearBra before, just have a pro do it. Clearbra is all out the install. It's not easy.

^^^ What he said times one trillion. I was a "I'll do simple stuff here and there" kinda guy.....and now, just look at my sig. I've done intakes, LEDs, grounding kit, and just ordered a new exhaust tonight!

As one member on here told me when I joined, "just wait for the mod bug to bite you cause it will", I thought "yeah right."

I'll be damned if he wasn't right!

Welcome to the family bro!

Unless you have some experience installing window tint or have done a clear bra before, I'd get it done by a pro. You just spent $45K on the car, I wouldn't risk screwing up the clear bra just to save a couple hundred. I watched the guy install some of the pieces on mine, and I was glad I wasn't trying to do it. Just my opinion of course, good luck either way.
