Infiniti of Tyson Corner

All,

I just met with the Service Manager yesterday at IOTC, I think he's new since they just got bought out. I mentioned our club and how we have a partnership/sponsorship with IOC. He told me to send him an email, outlining the details and what we're looking for. He didn't seem super excited about it, but was receptive to the idea. I would like to persue this since IOC is mad far for the MD folks. For those that don't know where IOTC is, it's just 1 mile down rt. 7 from OTB. I mean, I know Rosenthal had bad services in the past, but they are under new management. At the same time, all of our service advisor at IOC have left and people have not been getting the same service we were accustom to, so I'd like to take the chance to keep other options open. Just wanted to get the club's feedback on this. Would anybody or any MDer, be interested in taking their car here? I would be looking for the same 20/20/oilchange hook-up. Although I get much more than 20% by going through Dave for parts. Please respond, I'd like to act on this soon so he would still remember my face.

Seems like bad habits are hard to change. It's not just management you need to worry about, it's the service department's employees as well since they're basically the ones that touch your cars. I passed up a chance to buy a vehicle from them since they guy was basically saying, "what's in it for me" while dealing. I know that's your ultimate goal on the sales but at least keep that to yourself and at work with the customer first.

Definitely, it'd be same deal as IOC, i'm sure they would have no problem matching that. I told him, our membership is only going to grow as the number of G's on the road increases.

for part, holler at Dave (miller?) at IOTC, I've told a couple of you this already, but if you need Infiniti parts, he's your man. I get much more than 20% through Dave, more like 30-50%, no joke. I just got the cabin filter from him yesterday for $21!!!, they list at $52 and I called IOC and they wanted $58, so do the math. Plus he's a kool kat, he's the one that set up the stillen GB for us a while back.

I know the Service Manager there pretty well. That has been where I take my G for Service, I just have not been impressed with IOC at all. Jack Wynn is the Manager, and the Service Advisor was Jim Shifflet (I think that was his name), pretty decent guy, didn't try to pull **** over on me at all.
I do my own oil changes and other maintanences plus installs myself or have one of my technicians do it or help me, but for warranty work I take it to Tysons. I wouldn't even have considered going there if it was still Rosenthal, but since they are now part of the Sonic company, and Jack Wynn is there I will take my car there.

That's great to hear Jeff. Hopefully we can work out something with Jack so NGC can get some hook-up and bring them business. I mean, I'm pretty sure one of our G's is at IOC everyday!! haha, whether they screwed up or we need service. So hopefully we can start a relationship through Jack.
