What gear do you leave it in???
I always leave it in 1st gear if its on flat land, 1st gear if im facing up hill and Reverse if im facing down hill because i thought it would give the car the most resistance. However I just found out its wrong. I just asked Lek and he said he does the same thing.

Some drivers follow a bizarre custom of parking in the gear opposite to the direction that the car would roll: reverse if facing downhill, and first gear when facing uphill. This does not provide any additional safety, since the engine will turn in either direction. The lowest gear provides the best resistance, regardless of the orientation of the car with respect to the slope. If anything, the opposite selection should be followed: using the gear which corresponds to the direction in which the vehicle would roll. This will rotate the engine's crankshaft, camshaft and attached components in the designed direction.

drive off by her self? wouldnt she just stall?
the handbrake is not enough to hold the car still in some circumstances. for example on the driveway for my house its a pretty steep incline, my car would start slipping unless I leave it in gear.
so bruce bruce trains him self to make it a habit of leaving it in neutral for remote start, then one day he has to park on a steep hill, and is forced to apply the hand brake. then he habitually uses the remote start after hes ready to leave. bruce's car proceeds to drive into the next parked car.

On flat parking spots, I leave it in neutral like many others. On an incline of any direction, I put it in 1st gear. I had an incident where I was parked on the driveway and just started the car. I let off the clutch by accident while on the brake with handbrake applied in 1st gear. The car literally jumped 2-3 ft forward. If you notice, our rpms are in the low 2k after you start. With as much torque as we have, it can make the car lunge forward quite a bit.
i dont leave it in gear unless im parked on a REALLY steep hill. my remote start wont activate if its left in gear. all you guys with remote start should have this feature to prevent a start when in gear.
