I think it should be somewhere in Northern MD, or even PA to minimize distance for the NJ, PA, DE people.

This wouldn't be a bad location but from what I've heard, need to be plan months if not year in advance. I know they have a big grass field that turns into a parking lot for events, that'll give us plenty of space to park all of our G and or Z. That would have to be pre-planned though. Otherwise it would be hard to find parking for however many people shows up.

The park that Brian mentioned is a great idea.

side note:
Lets please keep this on track.

To recap:

Place to beat as for location (mentioned by Brian) is - Centenial Park Columbia MD.

We still need solid sponsors.

Im shooting for June 24th or July 15th

June 24th is the annual Nissan/Infiniti day at Raceway park in NJ. Just something to be aware of.

What was the turn out for the Tri meet in PA during '05? Depending on what month, Sandy Point State Park at the foot of the Bay Bridge might be an option. It gets crowded once the weather warms up but perfect for pics, bbq, volleyball/football. There's actually paved parking for a few hundred cars but this meet has to be early spring or late fall. I don't see it happening at this location during late spring/summer due to crowds.

UMD? parking is free on weekends and parking space for 90 cars is easy. any of the many major parking lot can hold hundreds of cars.

Burke lake does not have the capacity for all the cars. I have held many BBQ Spec V meets there. If you are planning on over 20 cars it's too small.

Why not Evolution Motorsports in Chantilly? Don't they usually have a big Z meet there every year? They probably hold an event, and have lot's of parking. Some of the previous venders might be more willing since they had already sponsored meets there before.
I remember Passport Infiniti passed out water bottles with their logo on them a few years ago, I still have one. This was before IOC was around, so I bet they would be willing to sponsor.

I dont know if Evolution would have access to that many parking spaces. There is soo much going on around there that it would likely take away from the actual event, but maybe not, just sayin.......

Afro, thanks for the headsup on that weekend.

How about the park we held our bbq at? ... the one in fairfax .... forget what its called .. LAKE FAIRFAX? .... it can easily accomodate 90 cars .... and its by the lake .. and an ideal place to hold this event.. there is a huge parking lot at the back of the park .. which is wayyyy bigger than the one we parked in...

As far as food, we can ask those people who are coming to bring food (just as last year's bbq).
