Court Date Tommorow - Your Advice Needed
wow that sucks, everyone i know who went to court in MD and didn't have the cop show up was automatically innocent since no one was there to represent the other side...i think they all pled innocent though, did you plead guilty with an explanation? either way sorry to hear about the loss
Yeah, I'm curious to know what you pleaded given you were up against no one. I'm really shocked you were even charged with anything given the situation. Also, you never mentioned it was laser and it was at night (or did I totally miss something
). Depending on the distance, it could of played a serious role in who the cop clocked.
Oh, anyone care to explain how there were no points but the charge/offense would show up on his record? If there are no points, wouldn't the charge be reduced to something much lower?

she said if i were to plead "Innocent" then she will set up another court date for me.. thats when i lost itin my head.. and im like what the hell .. how many times are u going to call me to court for this stupid charge...i did plead guilty with an explanation... i had already admitted to going 70mph ... and im sure i wasnt doing over 75mph .. otherwise my mom would be tellin me to slow down... the judge was pretty nice to everyone ... so i thought she would cut me some slack.... but she decided not too for some reason or the other.. she tried to argue the case instead of the officer ... and when i questioned her, she simply said 93 mph is too much... and dismissed the case... argh ..i wish i could tell my dad about this so he can get his lawyer to help me out ... but if i tell my dad ...he might just chop my ***** .. lol .. and i didnt have knowledge of the cop having used laser, she told me that at court .. and i even questioned her .. if an officer could clock two cars with a laser at the same time .... she really didn't have an answer for that question....

If the cop was say 200 feet away though, and two cars were side by side, it'd be easy to clock the wrong one. 2 degrees of motion at his gun is 7 feet of distance at the two cars.
What I'm curious about is how he caught you. Laser doesn't work well through glass and it doesn't work if the person holding the gun is moving. So he would have had to see you go by, clock you, then catch up to you. Not an easy task if you're doing 93.
