Glen Burnie Races tonight

Hey guys, I just got back from Glen Burnie tonight. Me and a few friends (625hp WRX, TT rsx S, Evo VIII stage 2, R1 bike) went up there to join in the fun. There were a whole crapload of people up there just racing down green mt road and rt 2 (ritchie hw). One dude who looked really young had a SL 65 AMG... B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L! So in the middle of this, I had a few runs too, went at a boxster, 350z, s2k, 330ci, s4, m3, and the new z06. haha Won the first 3, just barely with the s2k tho and was dead even with the 330ci... needless to say.. I got SMOKED by the last 3. There were 2 other G coupes there too, one red FI'ed one with the Greddy front I believe, and one DG. Wish I had a camera to snapped some pics damn it, but I never got a chance to get over to them to say wassup cause of the amount of people and cars. The red G coupe was doing real well, he ate the m3 and the s4 like nothing. Any of those two cars belong to anyone over here? Sorry I couldn't get over there to say Hey, hope you all don't think I was rude or anything like that :P

I dunno what mods or stuff the guy was running, it was a 2004 330 ci coupe. The only visible mods I saw were exhaust, "angel eyes" , and a drop. But yep, 2 races from a stop. First one was really even, I was ahead by maybe 1/6 a car. Second race, he had me by about 1/4 car. All races were done 0-110, and we shut down. Another car that really surprised me was the s2k. I thought I would totally dominate that car, but they're freakin quick. From a dead stop, I can take him by 1-2 cars from 0-110. When we did it from 10mph roll, he had me by 1/2 car by 110. Anyway, I've read somewhere in the e46 forums that the 330's were actually under-rated? dunno if its true or not, but I've always liked those 330's. :P

yeah....i actually went to the lot to test drive and more than likely buy a 2003 330ci w/sport package before buying my G. The 330 was my long time love but the G kept calling to me like a temptress....I gave in!

Anyways...a stock 330 should lose pretty easily IMO...

and s2k was better from a roll? it should be the other way round ... you should be able to take the s2k from a roll easier than off the line .... oh well ... glad you had fun

I dunno, those s2k's with their hondata k-pro's pull hard especially with their longer vtec and higher red line.. nothing like the sound of vtec with exhausts

^^I agree with the s2k statement above, however since the car does have a higher red line, you REEAALY have to knwo how to drive it to drive it to its fullest. From what i have read/heard/seen the s2k is a quick car, but its a drivers car as in you have to really know HOW to drive it to get the full potential out of it. Most ppl i know are unable to get the stated stock 1/4 mile times from their s2k...its not an easy car to drive from what i hear..
