Yearly State Inspection
So my stickers expire at tne end of next month, and i need to get my yearly state inspection done. My dad took the car in, and my car didn't pass because of two main problems, My Rear Tires seem to have no tread, but last time i checked which was last weekend, i have enough tread for about another 3-4k miles. the second problem was the bulbs in my clear corners. They said that they ahve to be orange, but i thought only the turn signals are supposed to be orange and our clear corners aren't turning signals. Im soo ******* pissed. Has anyone experienced this problem? .. and if not, have you passed your test with clear corners and Piaa Bulbs in them? .. and does this mean that i have to change my tires or can i just go to some other place and get my inspection done.? Where do you guys normall go? .. any feed back will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
P.S: im gonna put in the Oem bulbs in before i get it inspected again..

i know man .... i hate this crap .. my cousin 1998 Toyota Rav 4 passed and my G didnt ... the guy is just a hater.. im gonna go to some next place.. hopefully puria is gonna hook me up cause he knows some one
I take it to this Thai place. They are pretty cool. On my civic I had aftermarket HIDs with blue bulbs and one of the guys came over and he was like you know the bulbs have to be clear....they can't have any color in them. But the guy that inspects the car was like "just act like you dont see it." And on my old 1987 accord there was sitting water in the rear tail lights and he drilled holes on the bottom of the casing and replaced the bulbs. He charged me for the bulbs and that was about it and passed my inspection. Yep!
normally i take it to some shady *** places for the inspection. the only problem is however in teh event somethign happens to you in an 'unsafe' car that mechanic or shop is liable and some people who know of the 'hookup' may try to hold the mechanic liable which is NOT cool. IF even the shady places refuse, there are the places where you simply pay $15 for a state inspection sticker...if you get my drift. Arjun, I know the first place should take care of you without a problem. I actually just passed my state inspection...3 min...no car on jack to check brakes which is a requirment....nothing...i'll PM you details, please keep this confidential.

Lek, remember when i was home like 3 weeks ago, we were checking our tires .. and mine were so much better than urs .... **** man .. i cant believe they are making me change it .. My dad took it to the dealer because he was concerned (he freaks out really easily) and they said that might as well get it done because i will have to have them changed sooner or later.. what kinda statement is that? .. i know i easily have 3-4k on them .. but its whatver .. i dont care about paying for new tires .. its just that i hate not being there and having my dad handle it...
