240 bucks for xm radio worth it?

a friend of mine has a friend who can install XM radio on my car for $240..., my friend just got it in his civic... I guess its hacked because I would not have to ever pay any monthly fee and gets all the stations. is it worth 240 bucks?

I enjoy XM, but I wante SIRIUS to begin with but the dealer and everyone else was out of the kits because of some production issue. Back order was months long, so I just got XM. I like it. I love it over regular radio. I am glad I have it.

the installation will be handled by my friends friend, the 240 includes the installation fee. im just wondering if you guys think 240 is worth it, or is it better to go the legit way?

I installed Sirius myself on 2 cars now - it is pretty straightforward so long as your car has the Sat input (early 03's didn't).

I have XM in my car but I wished I picked Sirius instead. Sirius has the NFL contract and theyre also getting Howard Stern.

XM pissed me off because inorder to make room for baseball games they got rid of alot of stations, one of them being a station I used to listen to alot.

It's a good price ,but i have heard that if you had late 03 on up it was plug and play. The harnes is in the trunk all you need is the reciever and antenna.
Free radiop is good too.I would go legit.
