You all might want to check with your jobs to see if they have a donation/matching program. I know at KPMG we have a disaster relief fund for these things like the tsunami and now this. They will usually match your contribution too so that's a good way to really maximize your donation by getting something from your company too

Alright everyone...I have a unique opportunity for those that are able to respond quick enough. I am in the Airfreight Forwarding industry and one of my airline carrier partners is donating a DC-8 Freighter to fly relief and donation items direct into New Orleans. My company as well as others have been offered to take advantage of this situation to send whatever items we wish to donate to fly directly to FEMA in the affected area. I have secured a trucking company to donate a vehicle in order to run all the collected items directly to BWI airport.

So, go through your clothes and donate those played out jeans, shirts, shoes, etc. and drop them off at my office TOMORROW BY 7PM:

AIRGROUP (ATTN: VICTOR VARGAS)
22977 EAGLEWOOD COURT
SUITE 130
DULLES, VA 20166
800-297-6845
www.airgroup.com

Thanks to all.

My company just announced it will be doing the matching of donations as well which is pretty cool. I guess I'll go ahead and put in some more through them directly since it'll be matched and better than going directly.
