Clear Bra

Ok. so i am getting a new fron bumper and was wondering if I get a clear bra, does it ONLY go on the bumper cover or does it go on the hood too?

It depends on what you want. Most places offer full bumper coverage and an 18-24" piece to cover the hood. Some specialized places can do the whole hood using 1-piece but there's none that I know of in MD/VA/DC.

I had just went to the Rosenthal Infiniti dealer to ask about the ClearBra and the fat woman there said that it goes up the hood about 14 inches or so. However, she quoted me for approximately $950 and said would give me a discount (not sure how much). I wonder if there's a place to get it cheaper but the same quality.

Maybe its just my driving but i've never gotten any rock chips on the hood? Just the front bumper. Is it really necessary to clear bra the hood? If I were doing it front bumper would be good enough.

This forum is relatively new, but if you search the forum on Clear Bra you'll see some opinions and experiences in the area with Clear Bras. My experience in June is found at:http://www.g35driver.com/forums/show...ight=clear+bra

Do you call the woman "Fat Woman" to her face, or just when you are out of hearing distance of her?

Well, I don't know if it's required on the hood but after reading the forum and based off other people's experience, seems that the hood gets chipped since the car is slanted down and stuff. I'm still debating whether I should get it, and if so, possibly to look around and see what kind of prices I'm looking at since it seems other people have gotten it for $550~.

As for the fat woman comment, well, when I was talking to her when we were sitting down, I didn't really think she was that fat, but when she stood up, I couldn't believe how the chair was supporting her unless she was sitting on two. As for me making the comment, let's just say I kept it in my head.

Has anyone else gotten a ClearBra in the NOVA area?
