Did it happen to any of you?

So, I got in my car tonight and was ready to go out for dinner. Turned the key on and there it is --- Service Engine Soon!! My car only has 2,700 miles and the dreaded CEL comes on. Did any one of you experience this problem before? What happen to the Japanese reliability? The message on my nav said I should not even be driving the car at all, WTF? I went ahead and drove the crap out of it. As I see, it the car is still under warranty and if it breaks, Infiniti has better fix it or I sue them under the lemon law. I am pissed!! What a way to start a weekend.

Filled the tank 2 days ago. When it came on tonight, it was at half tank mark. Wonder what else can cause the CEL to come on suddenly. BTW, I checked the gas cap the first thing when the light came on.

Same thing happened to a guy in the my350z.com forum. I think you got bad gas. Where do you live? And where did you get your gas from?

That is one of the dumbest things I read on this forum. If you get that and floor it, you wont blow up the engine (unless you go over RPMs and really decide to blow the engine up), you will make it prone to get broken. Whenever your warranty expires, your car's engine wont be as reliable as it could have. Think things twice before doing them. BTW, everyone here recommends changing oil for the first time at 1k or 1.5k miles. Its the FIRST oil change for gods sake... take care fo your car.

Take it easy bro. Everyone has their own method on breakin. Everyone recommends changing oil at the first 1K? Infiniti doesn't. They say to make regular changes at 3.5K miles, even the first oil change. Don't jump the gun on broad generalizations. I changed my oil at 3K miles and she's doing just fine and trust me.... I take very good care of my car.

And btw, not to be an @ss but weren't you the one that's bought all these mods for their G but you haven't even received your car yet? Maybe you'll have a better idea of the car when you actually start driving it.
