thats my last name....stop hating cause you cant pronounce it 'pra-teek'. i lived in germany for 2 years waaay back and like in spanish they pronouce a J as a Y. My last name is really Jafari...but unfortunately Germans and people who speak spanish wouldve called us Yafari...therefore they decided to put a D in front of the J...and so its stuck ....

"SaltiDawg" is my Kennel Name and I've been using it for more years than you've likely been alive. It is certainly not an attempt to inure myself with anyone that feels the need to call himself a dawg.

SaltiDawg is in reference to my twenty-four years in the US Navy. "Dawg" vice "dog" because the American Kennel Club would not allow dog to be part of my Kennel Name because it is part of the name of my breed - Bulldog. "Salti" vice "Salty"... well, just because.

See, no nefarious plot behind selecting a screen name.

Thanks.

GEORGE looks nice.

This is my first attempt to post a photo. This is LARI at 17 months. She had become a Champion the month before by winning the second largest Bulldog Show in the World. Got her from her mother by C-section who is now nine-years-old and still living with me.

LARI weighed 42 pounds at that time. While that is just about right by the standard for Bulldogs, she actually was one of the smaller adults in the Ring. Many Bulldogs are overweight and suffer the same problems many overweight humans do.

Sadly George is overweight (high 70's), but weight has become less of an issue for him after he was diagnosed with lymphoma ... Thankfully, he's now under my mom's care, and she is sparing no expense and he now has an oncologist.
