For the most part, insurance will cover damages. I guess i'd somewhat prefer a car to crumble on impact and absorbes the brunt of the impact than for a car to stay intact and have all the force carry through the car and to you. Nissan dude's quote was on point..

If i am correct it wasn't our car it was the new sedans. 14000 for a 5mile per hour head on collision. .That is insane. Terry you beat me to this i was gonna post at lunch.
