perhaps a 400hp entry level ferrari costing around 120k is in the works, if this turns out to be true, its going to be very exciting.

120k is just a wild guess from me, dont take my word for it. but i figure it make sense since itd be priced around the aston martin v8 vantage and upcoming lotus esprite and porche 911 turbo etc, the inflation adjusted price for the 355 is probably closer to what the f430 starts at today

Yup, that's my rule of thumb, to never buy any entry level anything. A dude can brag about how his Boxster is a Porcshe, but everybody(maybe just me) knows it's a poorman's porcshe. It is what it is.

dang, i guess all the people who bought a 355 or 360 or recently a f430 are just driving poor man's ferraris since they are entry level ferraris.
though there is a sentiment amongst a certain crowd that only a true v12 is a real ferrari, (we are talking about 575 and up) I personally think if you worry about what other people think, then you end up getting the car for them, not you.
arnt we driving entry level infinitis (poor man's M
) ?

The only reason the Porsche Boxster comes to mind is simply because it does not live up to the image of a high performance luxury car as the Porsche name represents. It simply lacks in the area of performance. I don't think the same can be said for our Gs since it has both performance and quality. While it is the most affordable Infiniti, it certain isn't the slowest and has quality on par with the rest of the lineup. Some high end manufacturers feel the need to spread their markets which makes sense. But to lower your standards considerably to achieve that would result in a "poor man's" choice lineup of cars.
