Thumbs up Look no further.

Just had my 06' sedan lowered on Tein basics with some 19's installed. They are wrapped in 245/35/19's and 275/35/19's. I was misinformed by some people and sent to Altered Atmosphere who tried to rape me. I was then told to go to JE Import in Baltimore. They ordered my tires and coilovers at a great price. The problem was with the service. The sent me out the door with my car to low. This resulted in some pretty bad cosmetic damage to the rear tires. They then told me "sorry, that sort of thing can happen" and that was it. Thats the answer I got after dropping 2g's with them. I finally went to Elite Auto in Laurel. Chris was a HUGE help. Should have gone to see him to start. He got my car looking great. If you are looking do get some work done I would highly suggest giving him a call. 301-604-5004. He also said he is going to be hosting a G meet at his shop this summer. He is located about 2 miles east of the BW Parkway on route 198.

I'm confused, did you specified how low you wanted it dropped since you had adjustable coilovers? if not, they probably just threw em on there at whatever height they came in. so what exactly did elite do? raise it up a lil?

JE did the initial install. After they were installed they had me take a look at the car to see if I liked it. I told them I was worried about how close the rear was to the tires. They put it back on the lift and adjusted the rear coilovers again. They did not ask me to look at it a second time and just pulled the car out of the shop. It was so low the rear tires were damaged. I took it to Elte who re-adjusted the coilovers so the tires would not rub. Elite rolled the fenders, and lowered the rear so the tires tuck inside the fenders. Elite also said JE should have known better and not let me drive the car as low as it was.

YEAH... strange how some people here swear by JE. I know MaxG has recommended them atleast a dozen times. Also a couple of other people on here.

ROSLIM... sorry to hear of your bad experience. glad that you got it taken care of.

I think that's the case with most shop. You have your errors here and there as nobody's perfect. Then there are other shop who feed off of this and charge a hefty premium for a "piece of mind". Just depend on whether you are savy enough to inspect the work and ask the right question, or the type to pay and drive off. I feel that if you ask the right question to cover your own butt and the shop misinformed you, they'll take responsibility.

well thats the same thing that happened with A1 tinting on one of the members cars. Arjunz and I went there and it was fine. Tint work was great. then another member went there and it was a hack job. After that I try to stay away from recommending places that I'm not sure about. But you're right it sucks but ish does happen. However, most people like to take others word for it go in with high hopes then something like this happens. I know when trong was doing the installs we didn't have any issues. Too bad he's no longer doing them. Well for me only... lol

Did you say that elite is 2 miles east of bw parkway .That is ft meade .You sure not 2 miles west. There aren't hardly any shop between 295 and ft meade .Let me know. I think the guy at elite handed out some flyers at a car show.

Yeah thats right. If your heading south on the BW Parkway take the route 198 exit and stay to the left. Make a left turn on 198, (WEST) and his shop is about 2 miles down on the left. It looks like an old gas station.
