For all you 6mt owners

Alright,

Is it me or have any of you noticed smoother shifts with VDC turned off? Lately I've been playing around with it and when shifting the car jerks slightly with VDC on, but is smooth with it off.

Its at a point where I'd prefer to drive with it off, and not for the sake of racing either..

haven't noticed. could it be your tendency to push the car a lil harder and/or shift at slightly higher rpm? I find that when i shift at 4.5k-redline, the rpm drop off and my timing is much better than when i'm granny shifting it below 3K. Just a thought.

I've always noticed it. VDC overly controls way too much. I turn mine off on warm dry days for normal driving. Makes the experience that much better.

VDC is basically a power limiter. I turn mines off and notice a smoother shift as well.

yeah, I cant stand that. When I want to pull off from a light to get up and go, I am always dragged down a bit from VDC. I know it's here for our safety, but it may be a bit overdone. Better safe than sorry though I guess.

+1 Yeah Infiniti VDC seems a little over the top.
It seems to cut throttle much more than required.
It was one thing I really disliked in my G.

It really sucks when you're pulling out to merge into traffic & the throttle gets cut back

I'm gonna have to try this, I never really paid it much attention. I'm definitely trying this when I leave work today.

I have noticed it as well, and I've only had my G a couple weeks now. I turn mine off almost every time I get in my car...

Never tried it, but I have always felt that I need to be at higher revs to get a more seemless shift, but then I'm speeding everywhere I go

Ok, after trying it for the drive home and on the way to work today... I'm convinced. I'm also now wanting there to be a way to keep the frickin' thing turned off until I turn it on again. Anyone know anything about the KP tech stuff? Are they any good?
