Yesterday on the way to work, almost all the way from the neighborhood, there was a new G6 GTP following me on the way to work. He was making himself known by how closely he tailed me, and how badly he wanted to pass me in the light traffic. He got a little close at one point so I dropped down into 4th to get some room and prove a friendly point

I slow back down again and he came back behind me. As we arrive at the light ahead, I change lanes... (ok, so you know the setup at this point). Trying to see if he was just showboating or wanting to race, he pulls up next to me and inches ahead about a quarter of a car. I had a feeling he was up to something so I let off the brake and conservatively feathered at maybe 13-1400 rpms. When the light turned green, he tried a very hard launch with his front wheels screeching (reminiscent of my RSX S days) and I launched low. By the top of 1st gear - 1 car, 2nd gear 2+ cars, after that it just got ridiculous. After 4-5 car lengths, he let off and made a u turn at the next available intersection.

I wanted him to pull up so I could give him a thumbs up. Believe it or not, his car did look good with the optioned wheels and very dark tint. My coworker is looking to buy one. (He is all about buying domestic only).

I didnt tell him about the race though

stupid POHN TEE AKS .... even the new GTO is too slow for a 6.0 liter.

G6 is the pontiac .. i deno what the GTP is .. prob the high end one

you are correct, the GTP is their top end G6. auto or not, wont make a diff. They are easy to beat.

I know I know... not in the same league motor league... but it is a 3.6 liter I believe
