Now’s as good a time as any to introduce myself. I’ve been lurking (w/ some posting) in National G Club’s forum for some time. I sold my MREV here (Nmanti, how did the install go?).
If anyone has seen an IP G with a blacked out grill in the Centreville area (usually near Sweet Water Tavern), that’s me.
My G suffered from the oil consumption issue (and I suffered from the IOC is a bunch of idiot’s problem). But IOC’s new service manager finally got me a new engine.
I am a family/criminal defense attorney, so hit me up if you have any legal questions (just pm a credit card number...just kidding).
I’m looking forward to the 15th, that’s going to be a lot of cars.

I sold the MREV when I started having my oil consumption issues. I was worried that IOC would try to blame that for the problem.
To be honest I did not get the results that everyone else claimed. I had a dyno test done before and after install of the MREV (probably 200 miles after install). It was the same dyno and same temperature. The only difference was the humidity. My results were less than fantastic. I gained about 5 lbs. of torque from 4500 to 5500 and lost 10 horse power (YES, I LOST 10 HORSEPOWER) . I have dyno charts to prove it. I emailed Tony at Motordyne, he figured my computer had gone into “granny” mode.
I could feel my G just dropping off at 6500 RPM. And to me the ability to wind out to 7100 RPM is the beauty of the VQ (I wonder why my car had oil consumption issues…).
But I know every car is different. No disrespect to the work Tony at Motordyne, it just did not pan out on my ride.
