Okay, here is the update of the situation,

Went picked up the car and drove around the corner and drove back.
Talked to the service guy and have him drove the car.
At the beginning, he is still saying that the technician says everything is fine.
I asked one of the technicians in there at the moment to feel the clutch and the guy admitted that he felt something is wrong also.
The service guy decided to have me leave the car there and gave me a loaner.
I still can’t believe the guy is still trying to argue with me when he drove the car himself.

Also, the service guy told me if I insist to have the technician examines the internals and found nothing wrong with it. I’ll have to pay for everything.
So I told the guy: “That’s put it this way. There is something wrong with the car and the car is still under warranty. I expect this issue to be resolved professionally through the original manufacturer.”

Not sure what kind of excuse they’ll come up with when they call me tomorrow.
Maybe I should try a different dealer and see how that goes.

and to tgicedsoul, you should goto another dealer if they aint tryin to be straight with you.

ding ding ding ding.......winner....master cylinder....yeah what did I win??At least you won't spend 2 grand on a clutch that didn't need to be replaced!
1 other thing, try and upgrade the master cylinder. Nismo makes one i know of.....ask Pat300Z about it over at IOA.

Apparently, they still can't find out why the clutch is doing that.
They want to keep the car for another night to see if they can find out.
The service advisor emphasized again that they think everything is fine.
To me this means they haven’t touch the car today... -_-"

I'll leave the car to them for another night.
if nothing can be done thru. them, I’ll seek help from another dealership.

I will check on that NISMO item tomorrow, have to head to the shop and pick up some tools for some work on a 350Z SCCA racecar O am crewing for this year. I understand your frustration with the fact that the dealer cannot duplicate it, however, I included, cannot just throw parts at the car. Especially when the car is still under warranty. I am going to take Devon at his word on this because sometimes the car owners know more than I do. I have a client with much the same problem and I am waiting for him to come in to start addressing his concern. Chances are I will put a Master Cylinder on it.

I brought in the car to another dealer around my area.
They said i need to replace my clutch, pressure plate, throw-out bearing.
I know the clutch disc is still fine. No slipping at all.
I tested it myself the day before bringing the car to this dealer.
I guess all the dealers are pretty much the same?
Either they don't want to fix it or they try to rip you off ?!

SejinxChoujin, did you end up replacing ur master cylinder?

Yeah, I replaced my master and slave. Everything runs great now. Hmm... maybe you should try taking it to a mech who doesn't work for a dealer. I could recommend you to someone... where in md/va do you live?

Just wanted to add my experience.

I have the same problems after some heavy winter driving, a sticky clutch.

I informed one dealer that the cylinders were suspect. They told me I needed a new clutch, flywheel, and "pedal". Bull****, Fields Infiniti will never have my business again. $2300 my ***.

The second dealer was able to talk to an engineer who told them that the cylinders were the problem. Now, Infiniti is telling me that the cylinders aren't covered under warranty because they belong to the the manual drivetrain. Which apparantly IS NOT covered under warranty. They want $800 for the repairs.

I'm going to call corporate on monday to see if they can clarify the warranty issue, this should not be a wear and tear item at all... It should be drivetrain related.

Anyway, I can get both these parts for less than $150. How difficut is the replacement install? Can you DIY?

Any info would be great.

Thanks

$800 is ridiculous... i got both my cylinders replaced for less than $300 including parts. but sorry i don't know how difficult it would be to DIY. wish you luck on finding that, it might be tough.
