So my gf and I were leaving a NYE party at this fancy restaurant in downtown Baltimore. I had been drinking but only a little since I was driving. I stopped drinking around 12:30AM and we left just before 3AM, not to mention I've been having stomach issues so I only had 3 or 4 drinks. Keep in mind I was NOT drunk and I was driving the Jeep not the G so no need for posts that I'm an idiot for driving drunk since I DIDN'T drive drunk.

Anyway, we took the surface streets to avoid DUI checkpoints (didn't feel like sitting in line). I took 33rd to catch Perring Pkwy and this f*cker in a white minivan was pacing me. The problem was that after St. Paul, cars park in the right lane (which I was in). So this f*cker wouldn't let me get over I had to stop but was able to sneak in behind him. Then this @sshat slows down on purpose. Don't know what I did to annoy this guy but he was messing with me for some reason.

Anyway, he tried to slowdown and make me miss a yellow light but I cruised through, ran the red...right in front of a Baltimore City Cop (very stupid I know). I didn't think he saw but a few blocks later he caught up with me (the whole while this @ss in the white minivan is still slowing down on purpose). I pull over and I'm a little scared but not worried since I know I'd pass a breathalyzer with no problem.

My gf was definitely drunk but not sick but I told her to act sick. So she leaned back closed her eyes and tried to look nauseous. I rolled down my window and the cop asked why I ran the red. Didn't tell him about the f*cker in the minivan, just said I didn't want to slam on my brakes since it was raining. His response was then don't drive so fast. Asked if I had been drinking, I said no I was DD (another lie). Said my gf was sick and I needed to get her home. God love her she just mumbled, "...too much wine". He said "that was a hell of a violation". I just said I know and I'm very sorry sir (every response was punctuated with sir). He said, "Go home" and that was that. He was pretty cool. Gave me a little lecture but was pretty cool for the most part. I mean he had bigger fish to fry, I was coherent and dressed in a suit. I mean not that it's a get out of jail free card but I don't look like an @ss (shut up Puria, Lek, and John ).

So all in all a very eventful NYE. After we drove off I mentioned to Maria that there was a cop right by her on the passenger window that she didn't even notice. She freaked a little about that, I mean she was already rattled that I had gotten pulled over period.

Whatever just a crazy story I thought I'd share. Very stupid of me to let my anger almost get me busted. Worst thing about it is that f*cker in the minivan probably was laughing his @ss off. Double whammy on me. Happy New Year to ya NGC!
