Upcoming Elections
I apologize in advance if this is an inappropriate post for the forum, but I am working on the campaign for Scott Rolle, the Republican nominee for MD Attorney General.
I do not want to make a sales pitch to you guys, but I kindly ask that you check out Scott's web site at www.scottrolle.com.
I realize that we're all from very different backgrounds (geographically, politically, ethnicity, etc., etc.), but I hope that those of you who vote in MD will consider Scott Rolle for Attorney General on November 7th and those of you who do not, please spread the word to people who do.
Thanks! Feel free to ask me any questions.
Sorry again if this post upsets anyone.

fine terry I AM AN ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT...OMG! CALL TEH POLICE!
I realize that many of you are not Republican...after all, this is not a Neon forum.
Personally, I am a registered independent, and I have always voted for Democrats in Presidential elections. In general, I believe in voting for the best candidate and not towing the party line...especially since I don't have a party. Although Scott is a Republican, he is very moderate in his views, and our staff is comprised of more independents and Democrats than Republicans...truthfully. I understand the stigma that comes with Republicans these days, particularly in a very liberal state such as Maryland, but I again urge you to take a look at both candidates for this position on their merits, not their parties.
Here is a little background on Scott and his platform that I recently sent out to family and friends, but it is always easier for me to address questions on specific issues as opposed to summing up an entire campaign in one post.
Scott Rolle is a Republican prosecutor from Frederick, Maryland. He has served as the State's Attorney for Frederick County since 1994, and his record of effective and innovative prosecution in that position is without compare. As State's Attorney, Scott established a Youthful Offender program designed to identify at-risk youth at an early stage. The program uses intervention techniques to attempt to place the youth on a more productive life path. He established Maryland's first animal cruelty prevention and prosecution team to assist Animal Control officers in investigating and successfully prosecuting animal cruelty cases. Rolle also initiated a mediation project in an effort to keep minor criminal cases from clogging up the court system.
Scott has an independent voice, and he will run the Attorney General's office in a non-partisan manner, implementing policy that is best for the residents of Maryland and not for any one political party. Specifically, Scott plans to abolish parole for child sex offenders. No longer will a child rapist serving a 10-year sentence be released in three years. Additionally, Scott’s determination to actively prosecute polluters and champion the rights of small business owners is further indication of his vision for a safer and cleaner Maryland.
While Scott is a tough prosecutor and a Republican, his message has resonated with each and every Marylander he encounters. The Attorney General is the attorney for the people of Maryland. Parties and politics must not get in the way of the decision to vote for the individual who will be the best advocate for the citizens of Maryland. Scott makes it clear that his views on many political issues cannot cloud his judgment as Attorney General. He must, and will, advocate in a non-partisan manner for the best interests of the people of Maryland. Groups typically in support of Democratic candidates have not only listened to Scott's message with respect, but have decided to support his candidacy. Scott has shown that he is willing to speak to anyone in Maryland and will not shape his candidacy or his calendar based on events typically frequented only by conservative candidates.
Scott plans to bring law enforcement and protection of our families back to the forefront of the Attorney General's office. Vote Scott Rolle on November 7th! If you have any questions or would like to see more of Scott's message, please take a look at www.scottrolle.com.
Additionally, some of you may be familiar with his opponent, Montgomery County State's Attorney, Doug Gansler. He is a very controversial figure to say the least, and his record as State's Attorney is tenuous as he has been censured by the highest court in MD twice for jeopardizing the fair prosecution of several cases and has become known more for his grandstanding than his prosecutorial ability. There is a slew of negatives on him, which I do not feel compelled to write, but voters need to be weary of his candidacy and his qualifications.
Lastly, Scott loves cars. He has a 63 Mustang, so he is a little more into classics, but he likes my G a lot!! I'm still trying to figure out how he can help me with my driving record if elected
