Bye Bye Clutch!

Well I got the real bad news today, took my car in for that problem I was having in MD. They told me the clutch was toast......there was lots of loose debree(sp) in the transmission housing. So I ask how bad this will hurt......$2200 plus tax? WTF!!!! Told them I'll call you back, called my banker(Lisa) and told hr the news, silence on the phone. Fine whatever, she tells me. I told her I'll try and work a deal, Didn't want the dealer to put it back together again just to open it again later to do the work. I call around, and end up with a new ACT clutch and fly wheel through the dealer for hundreds less.
So after a few phone calls and haggling, I will have my new clutch and flywheel installed by tommorow afternoon. Still alot of money, but I'm at the rock and the hardplace.

ACT Clutch and Flywheel installed through Infiniti dealer is costing me $1800 plus tax.

I'll give a review when I get it back.

I have the ACT street disc right now without the flywheel. Dont be surprise if you get locked out at high rpms Devon. It's a hit or miss with ACT. You must launch your car a lot for your stocker to go man.

Hmmmm, I was looking online at alot of setups, and ACT is very popular with the G/Z crowd. I better not have an issue with this or I'll be camping at the dealer till they fix it right.

As for launching my car, come on bro do you know who you are talking to??

Well, I dont know about G/Z application. It's not a matter of the install, it's just the clutch. Sometime you have to adjust and play around with it. Again, I know for a fact this happen on Evos, not sure about you guys.
