Front Tag???

So I got a warning yest. for no front tag.

Does anyone know where I can find the specifics on this law in MD? I tried to Google it and didn't come up with much. I know that our cars come with a tow hook that goes where the tag is supposed to go. With the tag on the car, that hook will be unaccessable.

I told the cop I was in an "Accident" and thats why my tag wasnt there, but in the trunk. He got down on his knees to inspect my front bumper

Anyone had any experiences with this?

yes you need a front tag...its required by law. ( well i mostly think its cause it makes it easier for you to get caught in their speed traps when they use laser). Cant believe he got on his knees to look at your bumper. Im in your same situation with no front tags. I dont have mine cause it was crushed in an accident. Well not only that, but my car is not registered in MD yet

Exactly? I got out of my car and said to him "there better be a reason you have been following me all around the block."

He made my neighbors think I stole something or committed some crime.

yea i dont think there suppose to follow you all the way to your house then stop you to do a search. Thats just harrasment. He apparently had plenty of time to stop you before, but just waited to see your next move. Either that or he knew where you were going and wanted to embarass you infront of you neighbors.

In VA you're required to have a front plate. I've been rolling without one for a few months without getting stopped.

I'm surprised, cuz you live in Fairfax and that is where I got stopped for not having my front plate on and I had texas tags at the time, but I had a VA license, so he gave me a ticket for $30 plus the $57 processing fee.

They stopped you just for the front plate??? or did they add the front plate ticket onto a speeding ticket or something else?? I didn't think you could get stopped for a front plate only in VA?!
