I got screwed over...

I hope you guys remember back in May 23, I got 20 over speeding ticket on braddock road after school.
Well I was going 23 over, which is reckless, but he told me he will reduce it to just speeding ticket.

I made a post about it and many people told me to go to court with a lawyer to reduce it since I am young and it can affect me really bad.

On Tuesday, I received a mail that I have to go to driving improvement clinic for 8 hours within 90 days or suspension of the license. Since I am leaving next week for VT, I was like I found this place that I could go to on same day and the day after.

So I went there and talked to the instructor, what's going on?
She told me that regardless of cop writing reckless or not on the ticket, 20 or above is reckless...

Now i got 6 points on my record for 5 years but luckily, she told me that i can pass security clearance since it's not the real "reckless"
I just got the insurance statement but it actually dropped so I don't think the insurance company knows about this...I will see if it goes up February. (i play every 6 months)

I did the 8 hour program and got back 11:00 yesterday night. What a pain but I learned the lesson...

btw, it was a state undercover cop. i wish he told me about this when i got it cuz i would've gone to court!

Are you serious, same situation as yours. Hopefully I dont have to go to school. I'm just going to pay for it instead of going to court.

Wait, so you didn't gotto court? Insurance only get wiff of the traffic violation when it goes in the system and is finalize, after court or what not. Maybe you have 1 free pass with your insurance company. good luck

Ouch. Insurance at 19 on a G has got to be mad expensive by itself. This could easily double it.
Sorry to about the outcome.

Damn I can't believe you didn't go to court for that!! You are going to get bent over from your insurance company when they find it.....you better hope your insurance isn't up for renewal!! If you are REALY lucky you just renewed and you won't have any reasons for the Insurance company to look over your policy......at best you got 6 months!

You could have also taken the driver improvement course online. It still takes a while, but at least you can just chill at home or wherever and do it.
