Okay now I need a lawyer

Okay...i need a lawyer for 2 things..First I need one this month for a speeding ticket i got on that faithful day going to Devons house the week of the Lake Fair Fax BBQ doing 71 in 55.

2nd I need another so i can sue the pants off the bodyshop that had my car for 2 months and didnt do squat on the car. They have caused me well over thousands of dollars in rental and expenses for nothing. Im still waiting another 2 weeks according to Raffi at Royal Auto Body, for my car to be completed if they dont find anything else wrong. They have to redo the frame and rails because of sh!tty craftsmanship done by the first shop adding more unessecary wait and money out of my pocket.

So if any of you guys know a good lawyer i would most def appreciate it. Im looking to get my money plus damages back from the bodyshop considering they could have killed me if i was ever to get into another accident.(frame was not put back into safety specs)

Sorry, don't have any contacts in that particular field. As I recall, Destro was offering a firm (located in Fairfax) that he's had alot of experience with.

would like to help, but i just took my md bar and plan to take my d.c./va bar next. however, this sounds like a small claims court case. jurisdictional limit in md is $5000.00, and va should be similar...i could find out what it is for you in va if you would like. also, i owned a.c.e.s. body and paint works in baltimore with a partner for four years (ex-partner is still running it). i have knowledge of the ins and outs of this business and would be glad to help.

Your help would be most appreciated. Can i use out of state lawyers to help me out cause that would be great help as well? I dont mind it being only $5,000 for all the **** he's cause me. Its better that than nothing right? He pretty much gave a dead line the week of the ocean city trip. It would be done that week or the following week. Said the car was almost 95% complete. I recieved this info from my Insurance guy who relayed it to me. So pretty much they lied not only to me but also the insurance company making them look bad as well. So not only was the car not even remotley close to 95% completion, the did really crappy work causing me more money and incovience with the new shop. Had the car been done like they said i wouldnt be going through all this crap. Maybe i can sue also for emotional damage caused by ppl in this group making fun of me as well im sure i can get an extra 2 -3,000 out of that. You guys can testify with me. j/k

if you are going to file in small claims court, you are required to represent yourself (at least here in md). if you are planning to file in the circuit court for your district, you need to have a lawyer that is a member of the bar for your particular state. what you may want to do is contact the legal department of your insurance company and ask if they will assist you in this matter.

basically what you have is a contract for services, and a party that has not adhered to the carrying out of that contract in reasonable and timely manner. you have a strong case, especially if they spoke to both you and your insurance company giving you an expectation of when your car would be done.

i am more than happy to help in any way possible. good luck, i am interested in seeing how this works out.

okay cool appreciate it... ill take your advice and talk to the insurance company first and see if they can help in some sort of way, maybe fight the case for me and just give me the diff for the money spent on the rental and they can get the money back for their spendings on the work not done on the car.
