Has any of you had your trunk repainted and know how much it would roughly cost? I was unfortunate enough to find someone tried to shoot out my rear window out with a BB gun but missed and hit my trunk instead. Right now I'm not sure whether it would be covered under my insurance comprehensive plan or not.
What color do you have? Whether its flat, metallic, pearl, influences the price.
How bad is it? Just one spot? If so then they could probably just touchup and blend that area, and re-clearcoat. I'd guess around $200. If they need to do the whole thing about $400.
Give Ron at D&V a call if you can make it to Chantilly. He may be able to give you a good idea over the phone.

For those who read my post about my car being shot by some in-bred kids 2 weeks ago, my car is fixed.
I took it to JBL Infiniti, and they had this guy (sub-contractor) came out to have it fixed. The work is fantastic. I asked him for his business card and you may want to call him and see what he can do for you. My bill, including popping the dent, smoothed the panel, and painted the entire driver's door, came to a total of $450. He told me he used the exact OEM paint, plus clear coat. The painting procedure took 3 hours but all day to "bake" the paint.
He is the owner of this painting business called Colors On Parade. It is a franchise operation. He owns his own van that comes with everything you can imagine in a "real" body shop, including internet access to paint codes. Really elaborate "outdoor" mobile body shop. My car was set up inside a tent. So no dust or anything from the environment can get to the paint. Portable AC inside the tent while he worked. He let me watch while he was popping the dent, till the dealer guy told me I had to leave because of insurance issue. Then he took me back in the tent again after he painted the car, with all those lights baking/curing the paint. He asked if I was satisfied with his work. I tell you, he was extremely professional and detail. My entire car was either tape or covered.

He works for all the dealerships in MD and VA. So, he is extremely busy. He also works for an exotic car company in Potomac specializing in Lambo and Ferrari. He told me anything needs painting or customizing, he can do.
