wreckless ticket

Yeah this sucks..... I got hit with a wreckless earlier today on 95 right after the springfiled exit going 88 in a 50... Do you guys think I should get a lawyer? I've only had one other previous ticket which was for disobeying a hwy sign back in july of 05.... And for those of you who had one what was the outcome? thanks

Yeah,it's worth getting a lawyer for tickets like this. Not only you could be fined, but they suspended my friend's driver's license and also Insurance will rape you. If you get a lawyer in my friends case he got the Insurance, suspension off but still had to pay. His lawyer was really good though.

that should be your best bet...i made the mistake of not getting a lawyer the 1st time i got a ticket and the points added up after my accident. I say get one...and after that get a prepaid one like JOKER on the other forum...seems to be a pretty good deal for $20 a month if you plan on speeding like that on a daily basis.

Get a lawyer and take the online course. 6 points (with their impact on insurance) and potential (albeit unlikely) jailtime make a lawyer worth it.

Dude I feel your pain. I have been there done that. Defintely get a lawyer. I was caught racing (sort of) by an undercover cop in a nissan altima. The cop cited me for reckless driving, 100+mph in a residential, and exhibition of speed and he impounded my car. (I was never over 60mph. Very long story, which I do not want to get into.)

Anyways, I hired an attorney. I was facing 1 month in jail, 90+ days loss of license, 3 years probation, $2000 fine, and 300 hours of community service. Through some great legal work my attorney was able to get me down to two infractions and a fine of $900. It turns out the cop broke many laws, and violated many of my rights during the stop, which is why this happened. (Once again very long story.)

I came out virtually unscathed. But be prepared to pony up some serious money. I ended up spending $10,000+ dollars in attorney fee's alone. Totally worth it because my life would be miserable right now. Good luck with it man.

I had a wreckless in Va, ot a lawyer and he got it knocked down to Defective equipment w/ a $200 fine....that's not even considered a moving violation, so nothing shows on my record. Cost me $400 for the lawyer $200 fine...better then 4-6 points...upto $1500 fine....then insurance rape!

NOBODY should get convicted of WD. Acording to a Judge friend of mine, that is the hardest charge to prove. Get a mouthpiece right away.

Weckless drive ticket is going to hurt you in the long run...I paid for it big time...Going 104...Well that's what the cop wrote...I was going faster then that tho...I paid the 450 fine which was not bad but it was 2 points to your record and well the fun begins with the insurance...Over 2500 for just 6 months...Oh, i couldn't drive for a month so i had to bum rides from everyone and that was a pain...But i've learned from my mistakes...
