Brake cooling and angle kit
Brake cooling and angle kit
Anyone running an angle kit like the one from GKTech And also brake cooling ducts, like the kit from Z1?Is there enough flexible duct length for the extra lock to lock distance?And/or any issues with compressing that extra length?Like crushing, pinching, folding or suspension interference?
And is there still room for the fender liners?

If you don't get any answers here, I've found the customer support at GKTech is great. They should be able to help you figure out anything you need for your specific application, even if it involves parts (like the brake ducting) not made by them.

Not brake ducting, but just wanted to throw this out as an option… the 350z and G35 folks have had really great success using OEM Porsche front brake air deflectors to help w/cooling. The only worry I have in your case would be the angle kit being used with it. I was just starting to look into it more for the G37 (coupe in my case). May need to mod the parts a hair to get them to fit right, and may be a better option than ducting, depending if they fit.
Left (driver) deflector part number - 993-341-083-00
Right (passenger) deflector part number - 993-341-084-00
From someone who sells modified Porsche deflectors on my350z.com (Bmsluite) - “I cannot provide 100% accurate cooling data as it varies widely due to application. For my 07 350Z with the brembos it has dropped peak rotor temperatures on track by well over 200F. I tested this with rotor temperature paint. The paint will not give me exact numbers obviously. This is a drastic drop in temperature for a track session. If you are running a crazy angle kit this will not work. If you are running a 12" wheel will some kind of crazy odd high offset this probably won't work either.”
Might depend on the angle kit etc…There’s a few threads on the forums about them, sorry I don’t have more information past that. But for only $35ish per side, might be worth looking into.

A few questions here:
What type of driving are you using the angle kit for? Track or Drift
Usually angle kits are used in drifting and if it's being used in drifting, you wont be benefitting from frontal ducting to cool your breaks and in all honesty drifting rarely puts this much stress on the front brakes.
I would suggest Brake cooling shrouds. Plastic type scoops that bolt to the knuckle or control arm that direct air towards the brake caliper. similar efficiency and less worries about routing, pinching, and removal of bumper
