hm, good question...

as I remember tranny switched to 5-th gear at ~140mph

the speed you saw on your speedo is not accurate, especially at high speeds.
try using GPS for an accurate reading...

good thing the law was not on this "legal closed track" (one of the ones with miles and miles of multiple lane straights), they must have a lot of those to patrol.

That's great. I wish I could find a closed course to mess around at somewhere by NYC.
I see you're from Ukraine. I was born there, but grew up here in NYC since I was 1. My dad goes over there for business regularly.

how was the suspension holding up?

I did around 110mph on a track in my 2004 G35 and the ride got really rough

On a straight road it holds nice, though I have a beefier rear RWD sway and front GT Spec strut brace.
