SCCA Autocross Results
I just finished my first SCCA Solo Autocross.
I took 3rd of 16 in the novice class.
It was a lot of fun, and I highly recommend it.
According to the car, I got about 2MPG.
My Hankook Ventus V12s with 300 miles on them no longer look new.

2MPG hell I was doing full road course racing and mine said 5.7MPG LOL. I was hitting 110 on the straights. What 2 cars beat you as I usually get 1st or 2nd when I autocross mine.

Well, you have to factor all the time spent idling in the staging lanes into the MPG number. I used about 1/8 tank for the day and made 7 runs, 3 in the morning session and 4 in the afternoon session.
The skies opened up during the awards presentation, so they blew through them as fast as possible and skipped a lot of the details. The results aren't on the web yet either, so I don't know what cars took the top two spots. There were two other Gs in the novice class, both sedans. I think I was driving much more aggressively than they were though, so I don't think they were in the top 5.
Also, keep in mind that this was my first autocross. The next one I might be able to make isn't until mid July. My schedule doesn't mesh well...
I'm signed up to go to Watkins Glen in August. That will be a much different experience!

The results are finally up: http://www.flr-scca.com/solo/2012/flr3_fin.pdf
First and second were a Mazda Speed 3 and a modified Mazda 3.
The two other Gs in the novice class took 9th and 10th. They were both sedans.
I'm planning to do another autocross this weekend.

Yep my G does both autox and track days. So far me and a buddy (has a G as well) take either first or second in our ESP class. There isn't a camaro or mustang that has caught us yet. Not too many of the other cars listed in the ESP class come out. I am planning on a track day in Sep. I posted it in the racing section. It is always a lot of fun going out and running the track in the G37. Handles like smooth butter. LOL
