Great video. Can you PM me regarding your tranny upgrades and what those cost you? I'm currently running a GTM Stage II SC Kit and am looking to upgrade my 5AT tranny next.

You're looking at about $4000 in my vid, R&R at Level Ten. Transmission overhaul and (only) stage1 torque converter.

It dropped three tenths stock outing to built outing, but then I got quicker when I learned to work it harder.

(It will be for sale for much less than that in the Spring. I'm sending it back to L10 for a tune up now.)

Vdc....

Not sure if anyone answered this yet.. VDC cannot be fully disabled by turning it off. It just dials it way back. If I 1/2 shift and slam it with alittle moisture on road with vdc off it will activate it. A tuner could most likley disable it.

What year is your G? Mine has always been fully defeatable and I have never had is kick in while it is switched off. With ~500HP on tap I am able to easily spin the tires even at 60+ MPH without any intervention from the VDC.

Does anyone else have some 1/4 mile times? Stock or modded? I want to see how much my G will improve from my stock 13.7 time; I will go again when spring gets here but right now I have Fast Intentions Exhaust and Stillen Gen 3 CAI and I plan on getting FI RHFC and Motordyne M370 Intake Manifold and an Uprev Tune by spring. Hmm I can't wait!

In 4 years of ownership, I never felt the need to drag race my G until I read this thread. Brought back memories of my old muscle car days. Anyway, I don't really have a dragstrip nearby, so to satisfy my curiosity I just used my old Passport G-Timer on an abandoned road. Assuming that thing is accurate, my numbers are as follows..

60' 2.25
0-60 5.5
1/4 ET 14.05
1/4 MPH 99.8

I don't intend to make any more attempts, since I trust that a better launch would land me in the high-13 sec ET range at just over 100 MPH like most other folks with the 7AT sedan.

It was fun though.

Holy $hit.
Is that the fastest AWD G on the planet?

That might be the ultimate daily driven sleeper in the Northeast.
Any recent timeslips and how is the car holding up with miles?

The VDC is completely disabled. When it's off and you spin the VDC light still flashes but it just means it's engaging the front wheels. That's on the X at least.

08 G35s sedan n/a with bolt ons, street tires. Would've have 13.3 but only got one run that night and spun just a touch off the line. I race at PBIR. Looks like you G37's better kick it up a notch...
