Pics from first AutoX with OKSCCA
Went to my first autocross event yesterday (sunday) and it was pretty great. The weather didn't cooperate very well but it was still fun. Quite a large turnout and some pretty awesome and unique cars there. I've been to another track a few times but I wasn't really sure what to expect with the autox. Turns out it was alot better than I was thinking, running the track is a much greater challenge. Traction was almost non existent with the cold temperatures. Ran a total of 10 runs in the Novice and STU classes. My first run started out at a 53.945 and I was able to improve almost every run. I finished with my best three being 45.276, 45.486, & 44.988+1 (the +1 being for hitting 1 cone :eekfacepalm: ) I'm looking forward to getting out there again and seeing what I can do.
This was also the first time I really got to push the new stoptech rotors and stainless steel lines along with the hawk pads I just put on. They held up VERY well. Cold the are fairly close to stock, but once they get some heat they really rock. The autox wasn't quite as challenging on brakes at the track so I won't make a final judgment until I get to the track again. Anyways, enjoy the pics.
If you want to look at the ful list of cars and the final results you can check it out here (notice some people ran multiple classes or had 2 drivers per car.) Final Results, #1 - March Madness - Sun 03-14-2010

Anti-lock brakes are over rated.
