Haha, I did, the 20 seconds was for him to get to me at the next stop so I could ask him why his 335 was so slow and yeah about the exhaust tips it was harder to notice really cause he had after market exhausts in.

1) weight difference
2) higher torque on the 335i coz of the TT

Was playing around with a 335 w/ Aero Package Kit last night ( I believe it's the ZHP 335i), anyways he gunned it a good 1-2 seconds before me, and I slowly passed him once I hit 50 MPG and he was way behind me at 80-90 MPG

BMW underrated the 335i. It has been dyno'ed stock at 320Hp. It's max torque is also higher at 300lb-ft from a low 1,400 RPM all the way to 5000 RPM.

I don't buy it either... not saying it didn't happen but he must have slowed down. The 335i is just faster than the G stock for stock... we don't have to like it but it's true. The G is better overall though so who cares about 0.4 seconds ??

I went to the track with my buddy on Thursday night, we both brought our new cars that night, I have a G37 auto with fujita intake and Greddy Ti c. his was bone stock but he opened up his 2nd valve on his stock exhaust and his is an automatic also. I did a 14.02 and he did a 13.85, about the same. Seriously, I dont know why everyone compares the 335 with the G37, We are in a different price category and its not even a fair comparision if you ask me. For the same price as a model with the same option, you can only get a 328. Try finding a 335 with navi and sport and premium package for $40k, not happening, they hit near $50k and still dont have a back up camera and not to mention that they dont even have a touch screen option. Stop comparing the G37 with a 335, why stop there, might as well compare it with a M3.......

My 335i had the juicebox mod. I was raping everything in sight. There was a carrera turbo (I don't know my porsche's, I just know it was a carrera, and it said Turbo in the back) that every gear would pull 1-2 cars. Speed, yeah it was a beast.

Cause BWM is lying about horsepower.

the car has 350 at the crank stock.

2nd the car has more torque, especially down low.

You need a few bolt ons to even things out.

I totally agree. I always felt the G really compares to the 328. I don't see the whole "335i vs G37" thing.

My friend have a 2008 335i. it only has around 3000 miles. We got into a little contest with a white G37 and it was pretty even. From around 40 to all the way to 130.
He was in front of us like 1 car length and he hits the gas first, as soon as we heard his exhaust, my friend floored, and all the time race stayed equal. No 1 gained
