Another summer weekend, another BSCC autocross. The weather was cloudy but dry, and eventually turned to sun. I go to BSCC autocrosses in Bremerton, WA with a big group of friends. The lineup this weekend was me in my 2008 G37, a 2008 Mazdaspeed3, 2007 STI Limited, 2006 NC Miata, 1996 NA Miata, and a 1993 FD RX-7. The course this time was absolutely brutal. Tons of ultra-tight slaloms, almost no really fast parts. Basically it was a Miata owner's wet dream.

One of my friends(in the NA Miata) decided to try putting my stickypod (www.stickypod.com) on his trunk and film a timelapse video of the drive there. It's pretty neat, you'll see the various other cars of our group come and go from view, and you'll see when we hit the fog and he gets cold. Check it out:

About this time we hit a fog bank and temperatures dropped considerably. No problem for those of us with roofs, but the miata boys got a little cold

Overall the finishing order was: NC Miata(67.0), G37 (68.1), MS3(68.2), STI(68.29), NA Miata(70.4), FD RX-7(71.0)

 

VERY COOL! I only AutoX'ed my G37 once so far, hopefully i will have the time and resources and health to get into it more next summer (maybe even an actual race track like you went to)
