Pics are coming and yes the Sport package. I had to have the LSD anyway. It really helps. Oh I forgot to mention. I am 5'10" and I had to have the seat all the way down to keep from bumping the helmet on the ceiling. I have sunroof. there is not much head room with helmet on.

I will add that I was seriously surprised at how aggressive the VDC is in cutting power when it senses the car is upset. I did not notice it until the Autox but since then I have notice the car will sometimes not accelerate immediately after a hard turn. Now that I "know" the car a little better, I can turn it off every now and then. It might be nice to be able to dial it back a little but I think with some practice I can learn to predict it a little better.

Started reading this and thought that was you. I guess i am going to have to get out there now to give you some competition. I was wondering how different it was going to be from the STi since i did the same change. Too bad there were not any other FS class entrants to give you some comparison on the other models that run in that class. May have to come to the next one.

Not sure yet. We have our family vacation coming up at the end of the month and the way diesel prices are right now I probably need to save every penny for that. Pulling a 10,000 pound travel trailer a 1000 miles is going to get pricey.

Well it's no STi but I am happy.
I did 3 runs in DS mode and 3 runs in manual mode. VDC OFF is a must. (I left VDC on for the start of the 3rd run but quickly turned it off after a few turns. It's way too aggressive for autox.)
I was happy with the handling. The stock tires let go very smoothly making noise as they go. Some R comps would really help of course and the car was heavy feeling but easy to steer and drive. Did not push easily , braked Very very well. I could throttle steer all day long but could also get it back the couple times when I gave it too much valve, (VVEL FTW).
In the manual mode on a pretty tight course I got to 2nd quickly and left it there. It is low enough for quick hard turns after braking and I never got enough speed to need 3rd. My time was decent compared to the other cars considering tires and how I usually do against the same guys. (I was the only one in the class FS, Rich you gotta come out there) .

Sounds great dude! congrats. I'm auto-x'ing the G this summer as well and i can't wait. Glad to see you had fun and came out in one piece. I saw a G35x at the track loose it last year and it put me on edge.
At any rate, where do you live?? any pics? you have the 19"s right??
