Yes there is a 400 pound diffference between the two cars but the funny part is how that advantage is quickly lost. 60HP can overcome a 400lb difference, the previous M5 and E55 AMG being the best example. then, since the Altima is FWD, torque steer comes into play. It's something Nissan has been fighting for a whilè since they released the 240HP V6 back in 2002. TOrque ster equals less traction which points another advantage. The altima coupe is no giant killer

Torque steer can kill ya man. When I turn loose of the steering wheel I expect the car to straighten up.

Doesn't sound like a blow off vale to me.. Plus its a brand new 08 Altima... No where in his description does it says he's turbo'd... Unless he's going sleeper on everyone.

Plus you dont see any boost or oil temp gauges..

Don't hear anything is this vid where he "smoked" the infiniti.

Either he's got something done to it, or the driver of the G is terrible. There is no possible way an Altima beats the G. All the mags have been getting low to Mid 6's for 0-60. THe G should be a good second faster 0-60.

The Altime Coupe 3.5SE basically has the same motor as a G35... The Altima is lighter by 400lb.. So it should explain how the G35 lost.

Don't know how it beat the G37 though.

while the altima coupe 3.5 is of course the same 3.5 motor as the infiniti motor, it is tuned very differently. we have much more HP in our car, and the weight diff is not enough to overcome that.

No, a G35 should beat it as well. The G37 and G35 are about the same as far as performance. 1/4 miles in mid to high 13's and 0-60 times low to mid 5's. The Altima is a mid 6 second 0-60 and high 14's for 1/4 mile. This isn't just talk, thats the way it is. Something is fishy in the videos.

The G Coupe hits low 14's on the 1/4 stock.. The 07 Sedan hits high 13's in the 1/4 stock. The Altime coupe also hit low 14's stock..
