So Nemesis, you're willing to admit that the 07 Sedans are faster then the G37 right?

Drivers race. My best guess....He is racing 04-05 G35 coupe 5AT driven by a clueless idiot . Obviously his car is Manual, w/ an intake and he is a solid driver.

If that Altima was turbo'd it would have pulled like crazy on that G. Also if you watch you can clearly see his speeds, no faster than a G35, I've put 80,000 miles on one. Furthermore, he's in a tunnel that is going downgrade! Just another fruitcake who couldn't pony up the extra 10Gs.

How so...show me a credible source that proves G35S is faster than G37S.

G35S
ENGINE TYPE: DOHC 24-valve V-6, aluminum block and heads, port fuel injection
Displacement: 213 cu in, 3498cc
Power (SAE net): 306 bhp @ 6800 rpm
Torque (SAE net): 268 lb-ft @ 5200 rpm

TRANSMISSION: 6-speed manual

DIMENSIONS:
Wheelbase: 112.2 in
Length: 187.0 in
Width: 69.8 in
Height: 57.2 in
Curb weight: 3583 lb

C/D TEST RESULTS:
Zero to 60 mph: 5.2 sec
Zero to 100 mph: 13.1 sec
Zero to 130 mph: 23.8 sec
Street start, 5–60 mph: 5.8 sec
Standing ¼-mile: 13.9 sec @ 103 mph
Top speed (governor limited): 158 mph
Braking, 70–0 mph: 160 ft
Roadholding, 300-ft-dia skidpad: 0.87 g

G37S
C/D TEST RESULTS:
Zero to 60 mph: 5.3 sec
Zero to 100 mph: 13.2 sec
Zero to 150 mph: 36.2 sec
Street start, 5–60 mph: 5.9 sec
Standing ¼-mile: 13.9 sec @ 103 mph
Braking, 70–0 mph: 164 ft
Roadholding, 300-ft-dia skidpad: 0.89 g

According to C&D they have the same 1/4 mile....but the Sedan is quicker by a tenth to 60. So i will agree to a tie. Which is clearly do to the added weight in the G37 doors.

But if you want to talk about tracking the car on say a real auto course....The G37S beats the G35S hands down.

The G35 was deffinately an Auto. But seriously who really cares if the Altima is faster??!!

You know how much crap's been posted about that Neon being faster than the G35?? It doesn't matter, its a Neon, just like the Altima.

A million videos can be posted but the numbers don't lie, even if they raced 10 times and the G35 beat him everytime, we already know the Altima is quicker so why argue..?

Slapping on a turbo doesn't always add 100+ horsepower, many other things must be changed/tuned/upgraded also to safely make the most power.

Altima with suspected blow off/turbo and intake: (sounds like a BOV IMO)

Altima with intake only:

car and driver. There was a thread on it at g35driver.com..

But it looks like an even race on the 1/4.. The G35S is faster at 0-60 by a light margin.. Nothing big.

G37 and G35S both hit: Standing 1/4 mile: 13.9 sec@ 103 mph

Yeh but just look from 2-3 3-4 look how long it took him to get 40-60 60-80.. That isn't a darn bit faster than G35. And the only reason he got to 40 so fast is he was heading DOWN a tunnel with at least a 30% grade since it should be the same as the end right? Probably more.

He is in a tunnel with the windows down.... If anything it sounds like he is running w.o a filter...My IS300 sounds like that if i yank the filer off the intake.

This is 100% not a turbo.

Sorry buddy, that Altima is not Turbod... Never herd a bov sound like that. It was probably an intake... I had a turbo teg and my crappy BOV was louder then that at 20mph haha. Plus the acceleration of when the "boost" was suppose to "kick in" didn't really show on the RPM gauge..

If you watch both the videos you can see they both pull the same after 40, like I said the only reason he got a jump is the downgrade. I dunno wtf that sound is but it sure isn't a turbo.
