Need help with dyno results!!
Hi all,
I had my car dynoed last week after installing the Invidia exhaust (dyno is in my review post). The car ran 282hp and 239tq on a dynojet after the exhaust.
Today I had another dyno done at a charity dyno day... 1 pull on a dynojet. This morning, I reset my ECU and the dyno was done after about 40 miles of driving. Anyway, today I dynoed at 245hp and 221tq
.
WTF!! On a mustang dyno that might expected but on a dynojet? Different dyno than the last one. Only 1 pull and the chart says "uncorrected". Pull was in 4th gear.
Any idea why the car would be almost 40hp lower today than last Wednesday? Could it have been the ECU reset. Maybe a bad dyno. Ideas please... getting me worried something is wrong with the car.

Slight update. My first set of dynos were SAE corrected. My dyno today was not. After doing some research, it looks like things like humidity can have a significant impact on results and are "adjusted" out when the dyno is corrected. The dyno today was outside and it was raining (the dyno itself was covered).
So my thought is that (1) traction would be less than ideal and (2) relative humidity of 70%+ would be a factor. Both would reduce the results I think... does this make sense?

I'm not sure SAE corrections could lead to a 14% difference (40whp difference). I've messed with the correction factor setting on a dynojet once and it seemed to fluctuate within a 5 whp range
I'd go back to the dyno shop and ask for my money back OR have the owner re-dyno his car as a bench mark (since he probably dyno's it everyday lol) and see if that's different too

Here is a crappy video of the dyno... it's raining out so they covered the area. Sam... it was a charity thing for $10 for one pull... all proceeds to a local charity. I'm not concerned about quality of the dyno as much as I am worrying that the result suggests something is wrong with the car... probably not, just less than ideal conditions.

10 bux for a dyno pull???????????? WOW
Only reason I threw that go get your money back comment is because the cheapest dyno in Dubai is like $150!!
You're better off comparing your number to others who did the pull on that day to see if they made sense. If your butt dyno still reads the same I say just put the whole thing behind you haha
