if you add up the cost of all the parts you have wasted 3k on it wouldn't compare to putting in a cam..
example headers i have spent close to 3 grand once i am done and i know its not giving me what the cam would..
if this would have came out 2 months ago i would have went this direction..
almost makes me want to sell the Headers and HFC now.
11whp and 31wtq just for stage 1
im sure stage 2 will be more power

I'm saw the thread earlier and am curious how they will compare to the JUN Auto cams. I have those sitting around waiting for the engine build.

interesting, looks to be the best bang for your buck mod besides gears of you ask me. possibly much more power to be had with some solid head work as well. then you add in the z1 header while the motor is out and your looking at some sold gains n/a. I could see this as a good alternative for people who don't want to go fi. kinda pricey but damn would it be fun!

yeah now i'm kinda torn since i have my header install coming up in a few weeks.. do i delay putting them on until the stage 2 cam numbers come out and install all at once to save some money!
Stage 2 is in the works right now..i'm trying to get a time line of when they will be done..
im leaning towards pushing off the header install until a later date now and do cams and headers all in one..but that will screw up the data on the headers to see if they make power or not!

Any mod that is new to the scene is going to be pricy. Cost is high because there's not much demand. I'm really happy to see how well the cams worked under the curve. Just sucks these motors are so crammed into these cars that it takes dropping the motor to do a cam swap.

this is not true.. the cost of the cam is 650 and 150 for the new springs..
the cost is so high because of the labor that's involved in putting these in

$2000.00 for 30whtq? hmm...I am definitely interested in this. But I will wait until stage 2. Also Chuckie please follow through with the headers first so you and everyone else can see the gains. I want more power and don't want to go FI. I've thought about getting my motor built, but have other mods ahead of it. 180 head lights and BBK up next.

well I have heard stage 2 is about a month or two away.. really wish I would have known about the cams sooner I would have totally went this way first instead of the headers..
this is really making me rethink the header install..
I could save a ton of money throwing the cam in with the install..i really don't want to pay to have to retune the car twice once the stage 2 cam comes out..
I would be saving 1100 by combining install..
I call this bad timing i'm really going to think about it this weekend I would hate to disappoint everyone on the headers but hey sometimes things just don't work out..
im going to email my tuner and talk it over with him before I decide what im doing!

It looks like you can also get the rear timing cover gaskets replaced at the same time.

So if you have the notorious rear timing cover gaskets failure, and you are out of warranty, this might be a good deal since you will be paying $$$$ to get it replaced anyways.

yeah after talking to my tuner this will be a project for next year..
its very expensive with all the labor involved..pretty close to the 3k mark..im sure some places will be cheaper or even more expensive depending on the shop..
so im looking at close to 4 grand with cam and install..
stage 2 better produce some good numbers for that kinda money..lol
